Why I’m Building “The Complex”
No matter how many countries I visit or where I find myself living, Jamaica will always be home. And not just in a cliché way I mean it with my whole chest. There’s just something sacred about the soil here, the way the sun hits your skin, the air, personalities of the people, and just the culture. It’s the only place I feel fully alive. Fully creative. Fully myself.
That’s why I’m building “The Complex” . A multi-acre creative compound powered by Amiere Records right here in Kingston, Jamaica.
I don’t want the next generation of artists, producers, directors, and creatives to feel like they have to leave the island or migrate to make their dreams come true. Because truthfully, many of us don’t want to leave, we just feel like we have no choice.
I want to change that..
✨ The Vision Behind “The Complex”
The Complex is more than a studio or content space. It’s an ecosystem. A safe space. A launchpad.
The vision includes:
🎙️ Professional recording studios for real production: Multiple size studio rooms
🎬 Film soundstages and outdoor lots: for music videos, short films, and full-scale productions
🧘🏾♀️ A Wellness Pavilion: because we don’t just need to grind, we need to recharge
🍴 Two restaurants: one more upscale, one casual, with courtyard seating for that real chill Kingston vibe
💻 Coworking spaces: private and communal workspaces for freelancers, teams, and entrepreneurs
🎙️ Podcast and content rooms: fully equipped and rentable
🏞️ Outdoor event spaces for screenings, markets, workshops, and creative pop-ups
The Complex will sit on over 20 acres of land, and every square foot is being imagined with intention. Whether you’re a local producer looking to scale your sound or a returning resident seeking somewhere to plug into this is a place made for you.
💭 Why I’m Doing This
As a Black woman in music and especially in dancehall I’ve had to wear a lot of hats to make things happen. I produce, I manage artists, I direct content, I strategize releases, and I fund it all. That’s not something I boast about. It’s something I’ve had to do out of necessity.
But what if more creatives didn’t have to go the long way like I did?
What if we had the infrastructure, the support, the spaces, and the belief in our own region?
I truly believe we can have it all not just for me, but for us.
And I’m not waiting for “someone else” to come and build it.
I am building it.
🌍 How You Can Help Build It With Me
To bring The Complex to life, I partnered with Artizen Fund, a Web3-powered platform that helps people raise funds through digital rewards (similar to NFTs but more community driven). Through that, I’ve released a collection of digital artifacts each one tied to a real reward, from behind-the-scenes access to producer credits and even co-founder tier involvement.
You can support for as little as $25, or go as deep as $10K+ if you’re someone who believes in the bigger picture. Every single contribution brings us closer to a physical, functioning home for Caribbean creatives.

🖤 Building What We Deserve
At the end of the day, this is about more than real estate.
It’s about more than music.
It’s about ownership, legacy, and staying rooted.
Jamaica has some of the most talented people on Earth. But too often, our dreams get dimmed by lack of access, not lack of skill, not lack of vision. That’s what I want to help shift.
“We deserve to build at home. We deserve to thrive at home. The Complex is my way of making space not just for myself, but for the creatives coming next.”
Thank you for reading, for supporting, and for dreaming with me.
And here’s to building this dream together…
